This kit with the two gas (oxygen and propane) Major Bench Burner by Nortel. Two choices - Surface mix or Pre Mix. if you do not know which one, call us so we can explain the difference or choose the surface mix which works for all types of glass.

Just connect this torch to a BBQ type propane tank (you may have one in your back yard) and to an oxygen tank. Most people rent this oxygen tank at their local welding supply store. It might typically cost $5 per month to rent the tank and about $15 to $35 each time you have it refilled. Click here to find out more about gas tanks. It costs about $1 to $2 per hour to run the Major Burner torch.

Use this kit when you want to be assured that you have the most complete set of tools for the professional beadmaker. This equipment can also be used buttons, marbles, vessels and sculptures. Because items in this kit change slightly from time to time and our picture doesn't change there may be differences.

Propane Bottle Holder with work surface

All stainless steel. Holds your propane bottle safely and at the correct angle for your torch. Torch and propane tank not included. We recommend the HotHead torch. Includes a built in tool and glass rod rest. Holder holds both the wide and narrow shaped gas tank. Should be clamped or screwed to the table.

Glass Rod Rests - This movable rod rest is used to support glass rods to keep them up off the flame worker's workbench for easier grabbing, better organization, and to keep the glass rods cleaner. The rippled edge keeps the rods from rolling around. These durable stainless steel rod holders can also be placed inside a glass bead kiln to support your mandrels.
