This 8M torch with the surface mix tips listed on this page, you can use all kinds of glass, both Hard Glass Borosilica Glass (Pyrex, Duran, Kimble, Northstar) or Soft glass. Although Pre-Mix tips work Hard Borasilica Pyrex type glass FASTER! But the beauty of this torch is that you can convert it to a torch that can use hard glass by changing tips.

are required when you use a two gas, (oxygen and propane) torch
like a Minor Burner. They fit between the gas tanks and the gas
hose. None are needed if you are using the Hot Head torch.

Gas
Hoses
Use this gas hose when you use a two gas torch that uses oxygen and propane. (This is not needed for a HotHead Torch). Our hoses is a double hose, one for oxygen and one for propane. Most torches are attached to the torch hose by pushing the cut end of a hose on to the torch inlets and securing with a hose clamp. The other end of the hoses are attached to the gas regulators or flashback arrestors. Propane hose fittings are always left handed threads and oxygen is right handed so there is never a mixup attaching hoses. The green hose is oxygen and propane is red. CAUTION Do not use the easy to find oxygen/acetylene type hoses. The propane gas will rot them. The hoses we sell are made for all types of gas including propane. All hose endings have brass fittings and are female. Place an order.

Y - Connectors for Hose
Y Connector - Connect this fitting at the output
of the regulator and attach two hoses so you can use two torches
from the same tank. Oxygen and propane Y are packaged and priced
separately.
Y Connector with valves - Same as the Y connector described
above except has two on/off valves, one for each hose.
Flashback Arrestors
Flashback Arrestors - In some rare situations, a flame can
travel back down a hose to the gas tank and cause an explosion.
This device helps prevent this reverse gas flow and flashback.
This device uses a reverse flow check valve and a flame arrestor
that stops this flashback flame. Packaged and priced with both
an oxygen and a propane arrestor.

The below larger diameter hose is only used if when you need a large hose to fit over the large inlet fittings on some torches. (You can get the smaller 1/4" hose listed above on these large inlet fittings with a bit of effort. A trick is to emerse the end of the hose in very hot water to soften the end.)

Bulk Adaptor Systems
For users of Hot Head Torches or any torches similar to the HotHead torch Save on the cost of propane by using a large bulk refillable propane tank instead of the small disposable fuel gas cylinders. Item# F273701 uses a single hose with the correct fittings on each end. 5 or 12 foot hose.
